Main duties of the job
As an Anatomy School we teach across a wide range of programmes, providing instruction in human, comparative and veterinary anatomy to over 1500 undergraduates and 1400 postgraduates. Each post is advertised as full-time, but we welcome applications for part-time working, with a minimum of two days per week.

The Faculty of Health Sciences brings together the three professional healthcare programmes (medicine, veterinary sciences and dentistry) and anatomical sciences under a single management structure. This allows us to maximise the realisation of cross-disciplinary opportunities in research and teaching under the One Health agenda.
The School of Anatomy is a unique establishment committed to delivering exceptional undergraduate teaching to medical, dental, veterinary and science students.
The mission of our School is to provide appropriate, relevant and inspiring anatomy teaching and learning opportunities at any level; to school pupils as part of outreach projects, to our undergraduates.
Applied Anatomy BSc students or students learning anatomy as part of their professional programmes, or to consultant surgeons wishing to research new procedures. We teach students in a manner relevant to the needs of their potential future careers with an emphasis on a dissection-based practical approach, combined with application and clinical relevance.
