The College wishes to recruit a Senior Lecturer (Academic Lead) (up to 40% fte / 2 days a week) to support the delivery of the PG Dip in Evidence Based Psychological Therapies for Children, Young People (CYP) and Families programme (Systemic Family Practice). This post is available from 1st January 2022 on a fixed term contract ending at 31st December 2022, in Clinical Education Development and Research (CEDAR). We intend to extend the role subject to further funding being confirmed.
About the role
The PG Dip Evidence Based Psychological Therapies for Children, Young People (CYP) and Families programme has been running at the University of Exeter for nine years, it is an established programme with a good track record of training psychological practitioners across the South West. We cover a wide geographical area and have strong links with local services developing and providing SFP cross the voluntary and statutory sector. This role represents an exciting opportunity to support a team of committed professionals training the next generation of Systemic Family Practitioners.
The course currently runs on a Thursday and Friday and therefore the successful candidate would need to be available on these days. A substantial number of teaching days will be face to face.
Main duties of the job
About you
The successful applicant will be a professional experienced in working with mental health settings with children and families with expertise in SFP. They will have strong academic, conceptualisation and organisational skills. Experience of training delivery is highly desirable. They will be UKCP accredited. The post will include supporting the design, development and delivery of the CYP SFP modules; applying innovative and appropriate teaching techniques and involve working with the Systemic Portfolio leads to ensure that the programme continues to meet course accreditation and is updated in line with developments in SFP/AFT.
