Job summary

Are you an experienced mental health or social care worker with a recognised professional qualification working in a mental health setting? Have you considered training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)?

Canterbury Christ Church University in partnership with Psychological service providers across Kent and Sussex are looking to recruit CBT High Intensity Trainee Therapists as part of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapy programme. Successful candidates will be trained by the University, 2 days per week, to deliver evidence-based psychological therapies for people with anxiety and depression. Trainees will be employed by a local IAPT service base during training, where they will deliver treatments on the other 3 days per week. Once qualified they would be expected to continue there on a permanent contract if this is available within the IAPT service.

Main duties of the job

Successful candidates for the training programme will work within one of the following services: Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service, Dover Counselling Centre, FCS Talking Therapies, Health in Mind Sussex Partnership Trust, Insight Healthcare Kent, Insight Healthcare Medway, North Kent Mind, University Medical Centre (Canterbury), We are with you (West Kent) or We are with you (East Kent). This may be at the service base or on-line. Two days of teaching by experts in the field will either de delivered at the University or taught on-line. Please see the respective websites for the IAPT service providers for details on salary, contract term and locations.

Candidates should have a BABCP recognised core professional training and provide qualification and registration documents as proof at interview.
