Job summary
The School of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences has a strong reputation and expertise in the North-West, and we are currently seeking to recruit an additional Lecturer to join our growing team. The key duties will be to contribute to the teaching and delivery of the Paramedic undergraduate programme, and to support across the wider School as needed.
Paramedic Professional Registration is an essential requirement for this role along with a Masters degree and preferably a teaching qualification. However, we want to hear from you if you have contemporary experience in the field of paramedic practice and want to use your insight to teach the next generation of professionals. We are absolutely committed to teaching excellence and therefore will provide comprehensive support to help you make the transition from practice to academia. We will work with you to agree a personal development plan (including a formal teaching qualification) to enable your success.
The role is full-time but we would welcome applications from candidates wishing to work more flexibly, e.g. fractional / part-time hours.
Main duties of the job
· To teach on undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes across the Physiotherapy Portfolio, and contributing to the management of these programmes wherever possible.
· To contribute to the development of all facets of Physiotherapy within the Subject group and to the wider portfolio of the School/University as appropriate.
· To undertake research and scholarly activity and/or high level professional creative practice in the field of Physiotherapy.
