2x Senior Research Fellows Institute of Health and Social Care (0.4 FTE: 1 years fixed term, with the option to extend)
- We are seeking an experienced research active clinicians (Allied Health Professionals, Nurses or Midwifes) to support the delivery of our research strategy for Health and Social Care

- Experience of working as a clinical-academic / researcher outside of medicine in the NHS

Research project design and delivery
Applying for research grants;
Publications in area of specialism;
- Demonstrated success in building and sustaining effective relationships.
- Proven experience in and commitment to staff development and continuous organisational development and process improvement.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in higher education and the NHS relevant to developing a research / clinical academic career outside of medicine.

This a fixed term 0.4FTE post for one year (with the option to extend). The post-holder will be expected to work such hours as are reasonably necessary to fulfil the stated duties and responsibilities. Exact working days are negotiable.

Two
post-doctoral Research
Fellows are sought for a secondment to support, enhance and lead research
activity across the Institute of Health & Social Care. Situated in the
School of Nursing & Midwifery and School of Allied and Community Health, the role will
include the development, funding, management, delivery, and dissemination of
research studies. Post-holders must have extensive experience of both
working independently in a research environment and successfully working in a
research team.
MAIN
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sound
understanding and demonstrable expertise in appropriate qualitative and or
quantitative research methods
2.
Conduct innovative and high-quality research and scholarship that is
recognised internationally in terms of originality, significance and rigour.
3.
Identify opportunities and be actively involved in writing proposals for
research grant funding.
4.
Communicating and liaising with team members and key collaborators.
5.
Liaison with the Centre lead and research group leads in identifying
research opportunities.
6.
To build relations with, and participate in, networks of potential users
and/or key stakeholders. Collaborating
to raise research profile of the University
7.
Leading and directing the analysis of data, writing for publication, and
disseminating findings for ongoing research projects.
8.
Engage in research ethics and the approvals process (Governance/Ethics).
9. Actively contribute to the scholarly profile of the
Institute and enhance the unit of assessment REF submission.
