Job Summary

  • Actively coordinate and support the GMTH Vocational Learning Programme across Greater Manchester by facilitating student progression through the programme.
  • The role requires that the post holder arranges and coordinates all health and care involvement in the GMTH Vocational Learning Programme.
  • Support all employability and sector specific workshops and training to programme participants
  • Work closely with all partners and stakeholders involved in the programme.
  • Provide participants with a positive role model and be the first point of contact for the Vocational Learning Programme.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

  • Provide key liaison between, students, stakeholders, GMTH and other organisations, to support learners whilst they are completing training, during their work placements and progression in employment.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Business Manager GMTH, delivery partners and other organisations, to ensure active engagement, sign up and advancement of the Vocational Learning programmes
  • Establish and maintain strong links with individual health and care organisations across Greater Manchester to maintain ongoing healthy working relationship
  • Provide the participants with emotional and professional support
  • Support the progression of participants into sustainable employment/apprenticeship

The role requires that the post holder arranges and coordinates all health and care involvement within the GMTH Vocational Learning programme.

  • To establish and maintain strong links with individual health and care organisations across Greater Manchester to maintain ongoing healthy working relationships
  • To provide the participants with emotional and professional support
  • To work closely with delivery partners associated with the Greater Manchester Training Hub (GMTH) to ensure learning objectives are met
  • Ensure that an overview of the health and care organisations and their specialties is gained providing participants with the skills and aptitudes required to secure entry level skills with a view to providing a clear progression route
  • Support the progression of participants into sustainable employment/apprenticeship
  • Secure Levy transfer for participants progressing into an apprenticeship
  • Coordinate the creation of DAS accounts
  • Partnership working with Education Providers for appropriate apprenticeship programme for participants

Provide data/reports to underpin the coordination and development of programmes.

Provide update reports for presentation by the executive lead to GMTH Board.

Work to ensure excellent communications and effective team working with all internal and external staff/partners/participants.

Support organisational performance and development through commitment to appraisal and personal development planning.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

The ability to travel around the Greater Manchester region and on occasion nationally may be required
