Learning and
Development Manager
A unique opportunity has arisen within the Greater
Manchester Training Hub (GMTH). We are
looking for an experienced and dedicated Learning and Development Manager with
leadership skills and abilities. You
will possess wide ranging knowledge and talents, have an ability to influence
and motivate with the drive to succeed.
This is a new role and the successful candidate will be
joining our well established multi skilled team based in Wigan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end to
end process associated with delivering a
range of learning and development opportunities across Greater Manchester.
Main duties of the job
To
lead high quality learning and development interventions and projects and manage
the day-to-day operations of a
Learning and Development function for the STP Primary Care workforce. This includes the delivery of quality
training programmes and effective coordination and administration of all the
learning and development targeted at the Primary Care workforce; ensuring that
the development offered is aligned with the national and local strategies and
objectives for development.

To

training programmes and effective coordination and administration of all the
learning and development targeted at the Primary Care workforce; ensuring that

support the design, commissioning and implementation of learning and development
programmes for the Primary Care workforce across Greater Manchester, initially
supporting the clinical and strategic business leads.

for the Primary Care workforce as identified locally and nationally. This includes Training Hub Core Function
deliverables specifically tailored to the needs of Primary Care. The Learning and Development Manager will also
contribute to the overall Organisational Development (OD) activity, working
closely with all colleagues across GMTH.

Essential
- Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience supplemented by a relevant professional qualification to masters level or equivalent level of experience
- Hold a relevant post-graduate qualification or equivalent relevant experience
Desirable
- Hold a teaching /equivalent training qualification or equivalent experience
- Chartered member of the CIPD
Experience
Essential
- Experience of design and delivery of training one to one and groups;
- Experience of design and facilitation of bespoke development events;
- Experience of commissioning training;
- Experience of working in a learning and development environment;
- Experience of handling a busy and varied workload;
- Experience of data management and reporting;
- Experience of managing production of complex documents e.g. Guides, Handbooks;

- Experience of full training lifecycle (e.g. TNA, course design, assessment and evaluation);
- Experience of coaching and mentoring;
