Job summary

We're seeking an Independent End Point Assessor within Healthcare to join our End Point Assessment Team. This will see you working as part of a dedicated, flexible team, where you can use your professional skills and knowledge whilst developing others. Added to this, you will be working at the forefront of End Point Assessment, as NCFE work with Independent Training Providers, Further Education Colleges, and Employment Providers to drive valuable partnerships across the developing world of Apprenticeships and EPA.

Main duties of the job

As an IEPA, you'll play an integral part in the success of apprentices by supporting them in taking the assessments for their apprenticeship and grading their assessment(s). Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering EPA in line with the following standards: Healthcare Support Worker Level 2, Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3, Assistant Practitioner Level 5
  • Utilising NCFE Apprenticeship Services EPA platform to record EPAs and interact with apprentices
  • Attending standardisation events to ensure quality, compliance and consistency
  • Communicating with apprentices, ITPs and employers on EPA and grading

Assess and document an apprentices competence against industry specific standards, within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and using appropriate technology systems

Engage in regular training and standardisation activities to ensure a consistent approach to End- Point Assessment

Maintain a thorough knowledge of NCFEs EPA policies and procedures

Maintain and provide evidence of ongoing, relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD) relevant to the occupation in the apprenticeship being assessed.

Deliver quality assessments, in line with the standard

Conduct any re-sits/retakes

Utilise a digital first approach, providing all parties with the most efficient method of delivery

Provide detailed feedback to the learner on each assessment

Utilise NCFEs technology platform to record assessments and interact with learners

Attend standardisation events to ensure quality, compliance and consistency across the standard being assessed

Manage assessments and scheduling

Communicate with learners, training partners and employers on assessments and grading

Collaborate with the EPA Plus Relationship team to feedback on any issues

Maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders to deliver required SLAs

Report feedback from customers to identify trends and potential risk

Identify and escalate potential breach of security or compliance

Report any issues or complaints to the EPA Plus Customer Support team

  • required qualifications and experience.
  • Relevant Assessor qualification
  • Must hold a formal assessor qualification at, or
  • equivalent to, Regulated Qualification Framework level
  • 3
  • A driving licence and have flexibility to travel across
  • your area
  • Educated to GCSE maths/English grade C and above
  • (or equivalent qualification)

  • Hold a recognised IQA qualification
