'We Listen Kent and Medway' are excited to offer this opportunity for aspiring Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) Therapists who want to train with the University of Surrey to start their long-term career in one of our Talking Therapies services as part of 'We Listen Kent and Medway.'
The University of Surrey in partnership with Psychological Service providers across Kent and Medway are looking to recruit and train Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapists as part of the NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression programme (formally IAPT). We train individuals to deliver evidence-based psychological therapy on an NHS funded one year full-time Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Intervention (CBT).

We Listen Kent and Medway are recruiting for a number of full-time (37.5 hours) Trainee Cognitive Behavioural Therapists on both fixed term, and permanent contracts (dependent on successfully completing the Post Graduate Diploma course with the University of Surrey)
Main duties of the job
The training programme consists of three working days within one
of the following services: Dover Counselling Centre, Everyturn, FCS Talking Therapies, North Kent Mind, University Medical Centre, We Are With You, Vita Health Group,
and two days at the University, taught by experts in the field.
The pay scale stated reflects all
the pay scales across providers, please see individual provider websites for
an exact salary figure, contract terms and location.
Applications are invited from a range of core mental health professions including: Applied psychologists, GP's, Mental Health Nurses, Psychotherapists, Counsellors,
Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Psychological Wellbeing
Practitioners. Applicants without a core profession (such as Psychological
Wellbeing Practitioners or Counsellors without UKCP or BACP accreditation) must
be able to meet the required KSA criteria (see BABCP.com).

'We Listen Kent and Medway' is a collaborative of eight Talking Therapies providers. Our mental health services are inspiring places to work that are led by people who want to make a difference to people's lives across Kent and Medway. We will work together with the University of Surrey to provide opportunities to candidates to train to become therapists that will deliver high-quality therapy to people who may be suffering with a common mental illness, such as depression or anxiety.
