Job summary

NHS England, working in the Midlands, isseeking to recruit a Training Programme Director (TPD) for Emergency Medicine - ST3 North on a part-time secondment basis.

The role ofTraining Programme Directoris to work with and support theHead of Schoolinleading the delivery ofa wide range of functions,aligned tothe NHS England mandate.

As part of a national system, please note that a flat rate of £10,000 per PA, per year, (or pro rata as necessary) will be paid to a Trust for successful candidates appointed to TPD roles. This should be treated as a contribution towards the overall cost and is not a reflection of the individual's pay.

Main duties of the job

The Training Programme Director is professionally and managerially accountable to the Head of School. The Training Programme Director will focus upon improvement of learner supervision, assessment and experience, engagement of faculty and ensuring effective educational outcomes, both now and in the future. The role is evolving and will also focus on whole workforce transformation and developing multi-professional links.

To support the Postgraduate Dean,Training Programme Directorswill work across the spectrum of health and where relevant, social care, within the context of a team, so that the provision of education reflects changing service models. This will deliver an integrated workforce comprising individuals from a spectrum of professional and other backgrounds.

This role is a Midlands role so your work would span the whole region.

The post is offered on a secondmentbasis and all candidates are reminded that if they are successful, they are responsible for securing written agreement from their employer for release from clinical work for the specified number of PAs.
