Job summary
The Project Officer will be an important part of the Education and Training Sub-directorate in the East of England. Based within the Multi-Professional team the post holder will be responsible for the project support of clearly defined projects and initiatives, at the direction of the Education & Training Senior Programme Manager and where applicable, the Multi-Professional Senior Manager.
In particular the post holder will:
- Provide high quality project, service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis.

Undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery.
The post holder is a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.
The key projects that the post holder will be supporting are:
- Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education (PMDE) Expansion
- The Enhancing Generalist Skills programme
- The Multi-Professional School
Main duties of the job
Project Management
- Undertake information/project analysis
- Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects
- Process, analyse and report on data
- Provide information to project lead/s on request
Financial and physical resources
- Contribute to the financial delivery of the agreed portfolio ensuring it is delivered on time
People management
- Provide training, advice and support on own area of responsibility
- Support training and induction of staff
Information Management
- Carry out timely and accurate information analysis and reporting on agreed areas of portfolio and present findings in an agreed manner
- Develop and maintain databases required for the role
- Contribute to effective information management within the team
Research and Development
- Undertake auditing of projects and initiatives
- Actively support and contribute to the development of key performance indicators
Planning and Organisation
- Plan and organise meetings or events
- Assist with diary management in connection with the programmes
Policy and Service Development
- Maintain good knowledge of emerging policies from government departments and the organisation to support the delivery of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan.
Key Working Relationships
- Maintain constructive relationships with all stakeholders

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
