The Quality, Sustainability, and Innovation (QSI) team lead and deliver the national nursing improvement programmes to build a quality and safety culture. QSI team support providers to drive sustained improvements in care quality and patient safety. Harness and drive clinical sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurial practice across care pathways
The project coordinator is a member of the project management team who supports project managers by overseeing administrative tasks, communicating with stakeholders and ensuring resource availability for the project team.
The project coordinator will work closely with the project manager to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects. You will perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries.
Main duties of the job
- Organise project meetings, booking venues, sending invites, taking minutes.
- Attending and/or facilitating meetings where agreed and present on progress, ensuring that all actions are logged and followed up as required
- Ensure all expenditure commitments and all payments are properly authorised, controlled and monitored in accordance with relevant project/programme and departmental procedures.
- Manage the end-to-end procedures relating to all aspects of the project lifecycle.
- Support the team to ensure the timely capture of lessons learned throughout the project life-cycle.
- To raise purchase orders and track and reconcile payment for programme/project work
- Communicate information, risks, issues and dependencies, including briefings and reports to project teams, QSI team, and a range of internal and external staff.
