Job summary

The purpose of the Operation Centre team is to ensure that theorganisation and NHS funded organisations within England are preparedto appropriately and efficiently respond to and recover from all businesscontinuity, critical, major incidents and significant operational challengesand events, thus ensuring the continued delivery of healthcare at all timesremains focused on the wellbeing of the patient and the population.

The Team works across the Midlands region, interacting closely with theDepartment of Health and Social Care, Public Health England and NHSEngland and NHS Improvement Regional colleagues, and multi-agencypartners, at strategic, level, to ensure a coordinated response.

The Team manages and delivers the national on-call out of hours functionto enable the coordinated response to major incidents and emergencies.The Team responds to ad hoc events related to wider NHS resilienceabove and beyond the typical major incident scenarios.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Midlands region to support the work of the Operations Centre team in delivering the operational implementation of national policies; and development of long-term business plans for major Operational requirements.

As a key member of the team, the Regional Operation Centre Resolutionofficers overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services and initiatives. Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communicationand stakeholder management, both internally and externally.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

  • Previous experience in Business Support
  • Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of services
  • Experience in communications and stakeholder management.
  • Experience of providing business support to senior managers and managing relationships between senior professionals.
  • Be an excellent multi-tasker and be able to prioritise a workload effectively
  • Commitment to and focused on quality, promotes high standards in all they do. Able to make a connection between their work and the benefit to patients and the public.
  • Excellent attention to detail
