Job summary

We are looking to recruit a Senior Project Administrator to work in our innovative North East and Yorkshire School of Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation. The role will enable the successful candidate to work as part of the team to support a number of pharmacy education reforms and further develop some existing work along with new initiatives within our transformation agenda here in the North East and Yorkshire.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide administrative support to the North East and Yorkshire School of Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Dean and senior management team within NHS England to ensure the smooth running of the School across the North East and Yorkshire, that deadlines are met and that activities are planned in a timely and effective manner. You will be required to demonstrate professional administrative and teamwork skills along with providing expertise, advice and support.

Applicants should have prior experience within healthcare education administration, workforce development, delivery of training and must have excellent communication, IT and organisation skills. The applicant should be able to work to a high level, working both independently and as part of a team at both a local and regional level.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

  • Educated to A-level or equivalent level of qualification, or equivalent previous proven experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in similar role /knowledge of administrative procedures including maintaining project documentation etc.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection legislation including information governance
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Skills Capabilities & Attributes

Essential

  • Organisational Skills and the ability to plan, prioritise workload and use initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a range of different audiences
  • Problem solving skills, using previous experience to assess, consider options to determine the best course of action
