Job summary
- The Training Programme Director in Allergy/Immunology will support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the School of Medicine.
The post holder will lead on the development of the School's Recruitment and Retention Strategy and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.
The post holder will be a member of the School Board.
Please note this is a 3 year secondment extendable to a maximum of three years, subject to mutual agreement
Main duties of the job
Work in collaboration with Head of School of Medicine to:
Support training and recruitment and retention of ACLI and ACI Trainees.
Work with trainees and trainers to develop placements in the region to reliably ensure the curriculum needs of trainees in ACLI and ACI are met.
Support local trainers with their development as trainers.
Deliver regional education programs for trainees as well as working with colleagues across the region to unlock training opportunities.
The curricula in Allergy and Immunology (introduced in 2021) have markedly altered.
We would expect the post-holder to have a focus on supporting trainers to understand the commonalities and differences between the ACLI and ACI curricula*.
