The NHS Estate -Our hospital estate spans 25 million m with 1.4 million NHS staff working across 17,000 buildings, including 1,140 hospitals and 7,500 primary care sites, our c100k staff are responsible for maintaining and running all EFM services. With £5 billion of operational capital funding and annual expenditure of £10 billion across estates and facilities management, there's scope to make real change across our estate.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Head of Technical Guidance you will support the Technical Guidance programme of design guidance for the NHS. This important work is underpinned by strong administrative processes and you will deliver efficient and effective support to the programme and the wider Estates Policy team. The role supports our delivery partner interface particularly diary management and recording / tracking actions.

You will provide and coordinate administrative and secretarial services for the programme; including the preparation of agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required. You will resolve day to day administrative issues, organise meetings / workshops, manage correspondence, maintain information or databases, taking notes and minutes of meetings and other support activities. Supporting the team with the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquires as necessary.

About you

A proven and reliable administrator, you know the value of well administered programmes and the personal difference you can make. Your enthusiasm for organisation and maintaining tight processes will allow the team to thrive. You will offer suggestions for improvement based on your own experience.

Your organisational skills will enable stakeholder meetings to be arranged effectively. Comfortable with MS Office applications, you will be able to support production of reports and presentations.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
