Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the East of England Regional Mental Health Team, delivering a programme of work with systems across the East of England. This role will support NHS England priorities, using project management skills to provide support across the programme.

The role of Mental Health Senior Project Manager supports the delivery of high-quality mental health programmes and ongoing implementation of the long-term plan for mental health.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work quickly and independently in a very faced paced and rapidly changing environment, along with project management skills and the ability to support all aspects of the full project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be resilient and adaptable, with a 'can-do' attitude, and quality improvement skills, andexperience of supporting large scale projects across organisational and geographic boundaries. This role requires subject matter expertise/experience in mental health -experience of leading or working as part of a Programme Management Office (PMO) would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will draw on their specialist knowledge of mental health, quality improvement and project management, combined with excellent communication and influencing skills to support delivery of national and ICB mental health strategy.

The role is expected to work in an agile way to respond to regional and ICS priorities and will support short to medium term projects.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person. The contractual base for this role is Fulbourn in Cambridge.
