We are seeking Strategy Managers to lead our national programme. This is an exciting time to join the team, and to play a part in the delivery of a modern, efficient and productive health service. We are seeking highly organised and capable strategists, with experience in both developing policies and strategies, and managing complex programmes and projects with multiple interdependencies.

There are opportunities to lead (1) an efficient, effective, and professional programme management function, including reporting, internal business planning and prioritisation, as well as provision of high-quality secretariat support, and (2) the development and implementation of policies and strategies to support NHS net zero goals, including providing subject matter expertise and in-depth analysis to address key challenges.

Joining a skilled, passionate, and friendly team, the post holder will work in a mutually supportive way across the function, to ensure that our shared objectives are achieved within a positive, collaborative, and quality focused environment. The post holder will also deputise for the Senior Manager and Head of Strategy, and support their work with the Chief Sustainability Officer, leading across national strategic objectives.

Main duties of the job

The roles would suitorganised and capable strategists, with experience of managing programmes and supporting delivery of complex packages of work with multiple interdependencies. One of the roles will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of sustainability policies and strategies, engaging and managing a wide range of stakeholders, and providing expert guidance on climate and health issues. The other will leadthe provisionof an effectiveandprofessional programme management function, including business planning and prioritisation,reporting,andhigh-qualitysecretariatforthe national board.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
