Main duties of the job
We are seeking an experienced leader for NHS DigiTrials to accelerate data enabled clinical trials. We are helping researchers find,recruit and follow up study participants with data held by NHS England. Help us grow these services to deliver their full potential for patients, research and the NHS.
The post holder will lead NHS DigiTrials, including identifying suitable users and studies and managing operations. They will deliver a programme to develop services in line with NHS England priorities and the Service Standard. They will contribute to NHS England's overall support to clinical research, collaborating with teams across the organisation.
To be successful, you will need:Knowledge of clinical trials and the use of routinely collected healthcare data to support delivery
Extensive experience of providing leadership and accountability at a senior level to operational data services
Proven experience of planning, developing and managing a portfolio of operational delivery requirements within a large complex environment and across organisational boundaries involving multi-disciplinary teams
Extensive experience leading and motivating multi-functional teams. Ability to use a wide range of approaches to engage individuals, unlock talent and develop capability
Excellent understanding of the types of organisations that NHS England disseminate data to, key customers and stakeholders, and the legislation and legal basis to be considered when disseminating data

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
