Job summary
Would you like to experience working as a Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation Project Manager in a regional role for NHS England working on antimicrobial prescribing and medicines optimisation. A part time role has become available for a fixed term to support implementation of the new Antimicrobial Resistance action plan in the East of England and support the wider medicines optimisation team. In the role you will have the opportunity to work with the regional AMS pharmacy lead and the regional chief pharmacist alongside others in similar roles across England.
This role is being offered as a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity until 31 August 2025.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties Include:
- Co-ordinating meetings
- Taking meeting minutes
- Developing weekly antimicrobial stewardship regional newsletter
- Sending out regional communications
- Developing surveys and presenting findings
- Project managing discreet pieces of work
Key relationships:
- Regional chief pharmacist
- Regional AMS lead
- Regional Pharmacy and Medicines Project Manager
- Regional Infection Prevention and Control team
- National Antimicrobial Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation team
- Regional Controlled Drugs team

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
