We have an exciting permanent role within the Yorkshire and Humber Health and Justice Commissioning Team covering the commissioning, procurement, and contracting for the provision of healthcare in criminal justice settings: Prisons, Secure Children's Homes, Liaison and Diversion and Sexual Assault Referral Centres.

Working with the Senior Commissioning Managers of the Yorkshire and Humber Health and Justice Commissioning team, you will support project delivery and contract management across the justice settings, as well as procurements for services.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will have experience in contract and programme management, experience of delivering projects, managing contracts and ability to collate, interpret and analyse data to support contract management and commissioning priorities.

The candidate will have robust skills in partnership across sectors, implementation of project and contract management, and able to deliver successfully through others including managing successful teams.

Working internally and externally to deliver programmes and contracts on time, to budget and requirements. This will include ensuring providers are delivering consistent, high quality and inclusive services that meet contractual requirements, and that these are monitored and reported, using existing contract, performance and quality mechanisms. This will include working closely with partners and co-commissioners of secure services including Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), Public Health England/National Institute for Health Protection (NIHP), Home Office, Local Authorities, Care Quality Commission, Home Office, Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunal Service and Offices of Police and Crime Commissioners.

Successful candidates will have a proven background working within a commissioning environment, and knowledge of a range of contracting tools including the NHS Standard contract, Oracle and the latest procurement regulations. Awareness of the Health & Justice commissioning portfolio is essential.
