Job summary
This role will lead the cross-portfolio delivery team for the Product Delivery and Operations area of Product and Platforms which is part of the Digital sub-directorate of the Transformation directorate of NHS England.
The Head of Delivery is responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of complex cross-portfolio delivery across Product and Platforms as exemplified by the Mobile First strategy and is expanding across the wider scope of the Productivity Plan and emergent Spend Review plans.
Main duties of the job
The Head of Delivery will have responsibility for the following:
Provide leadership for cross portfolio delivery of initiatives which involve more than one product portfolio e.g. Mobile First
Build and maintain a shared roadmap for delivery for cross-cutting initiatives
Responsible for ensuring that key deliverables on the cross-cutting initiatives are met in line with ministerial expectations
Work across delivery teams to ensure alignment between Product and Platforms delivery expectations supporting Mobile First and other cross-cutting initiatives
Responsible for co-ordinating briefings, information requests and presentation materials required
Manage dependencies, risks and issues for cross portfolio delivery
Ensure that available funding is maximised across the different portfolio workstreams for optimal delivery
Provide progress reporting and updates against objectives and OKRs
Represent the Deputy Director of Product Delivery and Operations at delivery meetings in NHSE
Key Relationships (Internal)
Senior leaders across Product and Platforms including Executive Director, Core SLT and Product/Delivery leaders
Director Mobile First.
