Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic team and be part of the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) Programme at NHS England delivering the recommendations of the Sir Mike Richards Diagnostics Recovery and Renewal and the NHS Long Term Plan increasing diagnostic capacity and contributing to the reduction in health inequalities and waiting times. As a CDC Senior Implementation Manager, you will have a pivotal role in supporting systems to develop centres within communities that improve diagnostic access to patients in need. You will use your skills in communication working alongside regions to support Trusts and systems throughout the phases of program design, implementation and delivery of services upholding the standards and optimising service provision to deliver on program aims. Enabling and supporting systems to ensure best in class CDC services through transformation of care initiatives including but not limited to workforce strategies that enable delivery and support retention of staff, development of pathways that streamline diagnostic services, and continuous improvement models that support staff and patient experience.
Main duties of the job
As part of the role you will be offering expert advice and guidance on how to develop, implement and deliver optimal CDC services as well as contributing to key strategic decisions on core priorities and design of planning guidance. The role includes but not limited to:
Interrogate and analyse complex information to support the programme objectives, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.
Provide effective processes to support project delivery, ensuring value for money, and delivery within budget and timescale.
Provide speciality expertise and insight internally and externally on effective programme delivery.
Input to the processes for the development of materials, quality assurance, evaluation, and best practice in CDCs.
Help build a culture of continuous improvement by demonstrating a desire to learn and improve and an approach of openness and transparency.
Secure buy-in and remove barriers to delivery, including working with trusts and relevant national bodies and societies.
Demonstrate NHSEs competencies relevant to a lead and be a role model for NHSE values and behaviours.
Develop and maintain a current knowledge of challenges and opportunities forCDCsin improving productivity and efficiency, including but not exclusively: workforce & recruitment, IT infrastructure & technology, procurement, estates, governance & accreditation, performance metrics and data sources.

- Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
- Extensive knowledge of an related specialty acquired through post graduate qualification / professional accreditation or equivalent experience.
- Significant proven experience in Programme/Project Management at a senior level. eg MSP.
Desirable
- Holds state registration in a clinical discipline.
- Professional Qualification in Project Management (e.g. Prince 2, MSP)
