Job summary

Cyber Operations purpose is to support safe care and build public trust by building NHS England's cyber resilience and enabling the wider health system to be cyber resilient, supporting Transformation Directorate's purpose of delivering the best care and outcomes for the NHS.The Cyber Operations sub-directorate consists of 4 operational areas:o Cyber Security Operations Unit (CSOU).o Cyber Delivery Unit (CDU).o Cyber Improvement Programme.o Chief Information Security Office Function (CISO).

The Cyber Improvement Programme (CIP) aims to deliver cyber improvements that provide long-term foundational change towards sustainable cyber risk management across the health and social care system, working towards the vision of creating a health and care sector that is resilient to cyber-attack, improving the safety of patients and service users through good cyber security.

Main duties of the job

o Delivery of projects and programmes relating to system change, working with colleagues and subject matter experts to scope, plan design and deliver those across organisations.o Delivery of the whole lifecycle of allocated programmes of work containing multiple projects, reporting on progress and managing risks and issues, acting as a point of escalation for project and programme managers within the team.o Delivery of complex organisational change programmes and facilitating the uptake of initiatives that support excellence and embedding of cyber security across the health and care system.o Stakeholder engagement and communications engaging on complex issues, strategy and policy at all levels including programme reporting to stakeholders and senior NHS England and Department of Health colleagues.o Forging close working relationships across the organisation and beyond to facilitate an effective matrix management approach to delivery of projects and programmes of work to ensure integration at all levels.

All England Cyber Security personnel must hold security clearance SC level as a minimum. To meet National Security Vetting requirements, you must have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years for SC clearance. Candidates who were posted abroad for service with HM Government, Armed Forces or within a UK government role - will still be considered.
