Cyber Operations purpose is to support safe care and build public trust by building NHS England's cyber resilience and enabling the wider health system to be cyber resilient, supporting Transformation Directorate's purpose of delivering the best care and outcomes for the NHS.The Cyber Operations sub-directorate consists of 4 operational areas:o Cyber Security Operations Unit (CSOU).o Cyber Delivery Unit (CDU).o Cyber Improvement Programme.o Chief Information Security Office Function (CISO).
The Cyber Improvement Programme (CIP) aims to deliver cyber improvements that provide long-term foundational change towards sustainable cyber risk management across the health and social care system, working towards the vision of creating a health and care sector that is resilient to cyber-attack, improving the safety of patients and service users through good cyber security.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be responsible for leading on the delivery of multiple projects/programmes of work within the Cyber Improvement Programme with responsibility for:o Working with colleagues and subject matter experts to scope, plan, design and deliver projects/change initiativeso Creating, assuring and monitoring project and workstream delivery planso Developing and supporting at times complex communications including programme reporting to stakeholders and senior NHS England and Department of Health colleagueso Leading on project/programme delivery ensuring the alignment of strategic objectives and managing performance and risk through ensuring all programme controls and governance are implemented effectively within projects.o Taking forward business change to facilitate and enable uptake of initiatives across the health and care system that support and embed cyber security within the system
