Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic & experienced Senior Relationship Manager to join the Data Access & Partnerships team in the Transformation Directorate. This role will work in close collaboration with NHSE stakeholders. They will be responsible for producing an account plan for their customers which relates their business to that of the NHSE, and implementing that plan. They will be the face of NHSE to the customer and the voice of the customer back into the NHSE. This is an instrumental role in ensuring that the voice of our diverse public and patient communities is at the heart of Data Access & Partnerships team's strategy and programme of work. We are looking for someone who has the energy, enthusiasm and commitment to Public and Patient Involvement & Engagement, with experience of working in the NHS, public or third sectors.

You will be an experienced relationship builder and communicator with a track record of partnership working and delivering large scale projects and leading on Public & Patient Involvement & Engagement and working across sectors. The Data Access & Partnerships area is responsible for ensuring effective access to data products for internal and external users. It includes five functions: Data Governance & Assurance, Data Access Service, Data Portfolio management and Account Management and Engagement. Together these provide the Health and Care Partnerships and Data Access Control components of the Data & Analytics Operating Model.

Main duties of the job

This role sits within the Account Management & Engagement team. Its purpose is to give end to end customer support throughout the data sharing application and data provision cycle, including management of customer complex queries and escalations, customer engagement & relationship management to support business continuity and operational improvements. Key activities in the team currently include:

  1. Customer contact management function (BAU): dealing with all initial and pre-application queries for data sharing, queries from prospective customers or the public, and holding feasibility calls to discuss whether the customer should submit a data sharing application.
  2. Customer account management function (BAU): work to facilitate the administrative requirements of DSAs (finance, journals, ACR reporting, data destruction), administration of case management records and progress on issues resolution.
  3. Customer service management function (BAU): dealing with BAU customer complaints and escalations, cohort management issues, identifying lessons learned and making recommendations for operational improvement.
  4. Customer relationship management function (BAU): management of the ICB dedicated monthly forums, management of monthly data access online clinics, development of a Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement plan and management of public engagement events.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
