Job summary
The Business & Education Manager works with the Senior Business & Education Manager and the Head of Business & Education across the Region and Sub-Region supporting the business and education function which includes management and operational delivery of medical and dental education activity. Examples of which are financial management and governance, project management, and successful delivery of recruitment and programme management activities for medical and dental trainees. They will develop and implement locally defined processes whilst following standard operating procedures, utilising national policy, and guidelines.
Main duties of the job
The post is responsible for leading managing and supporting a client-focused, comprehensive service establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They will provide subject matter expert level advice to senior clinical staff, and internal and external stakeholders within their functional area of business. The role involves understanding and managing a range of complex issues e.g. implementation of financial processes, management and planning within NHSE Standing Financial Instructions, performance management, contract management and monitoring arrangements, information governance requirements and the wider healthcare developments and service delivery needs of local provider organisations.
In addition, the role requires understanding of the recruitment and assessment regulations, monitoring requirements of GMC and the monitoring and data management requirements of training posts.
