Job summary
The North West School of Radiology (NWSOR) is seeking applications for an Academy Director who will be responsible forthecoordination and delivery of the School's Academy curriculum. This will be specific to the core training years from ST1 - ST3and the delivery of ST1 & ST2 Academy placements.
The post holder willoversee the line management of ST1 TSTL &SubspecialtyCurriculum Leads to ensure coverage of the curriculum and sessional teaching is delivered. This includes yearly appraisals, recruitment, and Educator MSF collation.
The post holder will work collaboratively with Head of School, TPDs and Programme Support to support operational delivery within the NW School of Radiology.
Travel to our regional Academy sites is expected and required for all of our posts. All mileage and incurred expenses are reimbursed.

oOversee and guide ST1 and ST2 Academy placements & ST3 core curriculum. This involves knowledge of curriculum delivered and working with subspeciality curriculum leads.
oWork closely with TSTL at ST1 and ST2 Academy placements
oWork closely with Exam support TPD
oCoordinate teaching sessions with programme support team where applicable
oOrganise Academy Development Day
oConduct bi yearly performance reviews and yearly appraisal of Academy team
oAttend bi yearly performance review
oYearly appraisal and Educator MSF
oAttend TPD away day
o Recruitment of subspeciality curriculum leads & clinical lecturers
oSet up job plan for Clinical Lecturers
oParticipate in Quality Panel for Academy
oTwice yearly meetings with leads
oMonthly Academy review meetings with programme support team
oComplete trainee workplace-based assessments where applicable
oSupport Digital imaging education practice - CIMAR
