CYP Clinical Lead - Diabetes

Job summary
The appointee will be a key member of a core team of 2-3 medical and non-medical professionals co-leading the delivery of regional transformation programme for CYA (Children and Young Adults) with diabetes. The post holder will work with colleagues to provide clinical leadership, engagement and influence in paediatric and young adult diabetes working alongside other members of the Regional CYP and adult transformation teams. The role will support many aspects of care being delivered by the East of England regional paediatric and adult diabetes networks, their members and other stakeholders. A strong track record in multidisciplinary working is important from working across diabetes specialist teams as well as experience in working with young people with diabetes and their carers.
Main duties of the job
Work with the regional CYP and Adult Clinical Networks to support improvement in CYA Diabetes services across the East of England.
Provide clinical advice and leadership to the CYP Network and Adult Diabetes Network
Support systems and ICS Diabetes leads to roll out national and regional priorities for CYA with diabetes including transition and reducing health care inequalities.
Provide expert clinical advice and support to the CYP Clinical Director, CYP and Adult Diabetes Clinical Lead colleagues and Head of East of England CYP Clinical Network.
- To engage and communicate with a wide variety of other stakeholders to promote sustainable and equitable CYA Diabetes services of the highest quality possible.
- To act as a conduit for information and initiatives between regional and local systems.
