Job summary
We are looking for a candidate with excellent organisational skills to perform this key role in the External Affairs team of the Communications sub-directorate (part of the Strategy Directorate). Working as part of a small team, the Freedom of Information and Parliamentary Business team, the postholder will have an important role in delivering NHS England's Parliamentary and Public Accountability function.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will:
- Work with colleagues logging and tracking cases including Parliamentary Questions, Ministerial Correspondence and other parliamentary business;
- Maintain systems and databases and provide data for reports and briefings;
- Have good IT and writing skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a busy team who are managing multiple cases against short deadlines;
- Support the Senior Parliamentary Manager with the administration of the MP Inbox database;
- Have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, as will need to deal with colleagues at all levels across NHS England as well as staff in MP's offices.
- Be able to provide support to the Freedom of Information team when needed.
