Job summary
We are recruiting a Strategy Analyst to join NHS England's Strategy Team, which sits within the Strategy Directorate.You would join our team at a critical and exciting time as we continue to support the NHS to tackle some of its biggest complex and important issues.
At the heart of strategic development in the NHS, the team works across directorates to inform strategic decisions and shape policies. The team's key functions fall into three broad categories:
Cross cutting NHS strategy - supporting the Executive and Board develop the medium and long term strategy for the NHS. This includes generating insight into opportunities and challenges and supporting strategic decision making.
Strategic reviews - Leading or supporting specific strategy projects. Recent examples include the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, a review of ways to improve NHS productivity and a review of long term infrastructure needs.
Setting and supporting strategy standards across NHS England.
Main duties of the job
You will have excellent strategic problem-solving and analytical skills. You will work on a variety of projects which require:
core strategy skills, including analytical and issue-based problem solving and qualitative and quantitative analysis.
project management, including management of interdependencies.
managing stakeholder relationships and communications related to Strategy Team projects.
supportingteam and corporate development activities as a member of the team.
