Are you looking for a new, exciting challenge? Would you like the opportunity to lead a dynamic team in delivering an effective Business Continuity Management System for NHS England? This is an excellent opportunity to join the NHS England Corporate Governance Team.
The Corporate Governance team is responsible for championing good governance across NHS England and helping to ensure that the organisation is well run and improving. The team is responsible for several critical corporate activities to support NHS England in good decision making and its system of controls and assurance, enabling the organisation to deliver on its commitments and duties; encouraging management and staff to implement the highest standards of corporate governance across the entire organisation.
Main duties of the job
TheBusiness Continuity and Security Senior Manager will be responsible for the development of a robust and consistent Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) throughout NHS England, leading their team to;
Identify and mitigate business continuity risks which they may be exposed to and ensure Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) are in place;
Ensure that the BCMS provides planning, processes, training and continuous improvement to manage operational incidents throughout the organisation to ensure robust incident response and recovery;
Develop and maintain the use of the staff alert system for business continuity incidents;
Ensure coordination between Business Continuity and Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) / Resilience Team functions;
Complete the annual Business Continuity assurance programme, including review and exercise of BCPs and annual management review.
