Job summary
The Genomics Education Programme (GEP) is the national portfolio responsible for shaping education in genomics across England. The GEP is part of the Workforce, Training and Education Directorate within NHS England, which provides leadership for the education and training system.
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for genomic education, training, and workforce development. This post provides an exciting opportunity to use your specific education and training expertise to help our innovative team by designing and developing the content of bespoke educational resources, as well as taking the lead on key curriculum, competency framework development and other relevant areas of work for the specialist genomic and general workforce.
Main duties of the job
Using your knowledge of genomics, you will work in partnership with subject matter experts and contribute to the development of high-quality educational resources across a range of formats, including multi-media resources, e-learning courses, web pages and articles.
Using your knowledge of education and evaluation theory, you will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational initiatives you are involved in and report these findings, make recommendations, and implement changes when required and contributing to pedagogical research.
You will build professional and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, subject matter experts, professional bodies, and other groups, ensuring the successful design, development and delivery of educational resources that meet audience needs and the goals of the GEP
