Job summary

The Recruitment Team at NHS England (NHSE), are looking for a new Recruitment Assistant to join their high performing Rotherham based team on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025.

Working in our centralised team, the post holder will provide an effective and efficient end to end recruitment service to NHSE for all staff groups across NHSE, ensuring that all information leaving the department is to quality standards and in line with NHSE's policies and procedures.

Main duties of the job

As a Recruitment Assistant you will be committed to providing a first class end to end recruitment service and will be the first point of contact for recruiting managers and applicants for all recruitment activity.

The role is busy and your days will be varied and will include:

  • Liaising with other NHSE departments to coordinate the authorising of posts
  • Advertising vacancies on TRAC and NHS Jobs
  • Reviewing and sending vacancy requests to recruitment panels
  • Sending closed vacancies to shortlisting
  • Setting up interviews in TRAC
  • Preparing and issuing conditional offer letters
  • Requesting and completing pre-employment checks including ID calls
  • Regular review of own case load to ensure KPI are met
  • Preparing and issuing contracts and addendums
  • Preparing and submitting payroll forms
  • Completing new starter administration including CSD calculations and recording of pre-employment checks in ESR.
  • Maintaining regular contact with recruiting managers and applicants by telephone and video call
