Job summary

An outstanding individual is sought to fulfil the role of Training Programme Director for Rheumatology.

We have one post available: 0.5 PA across South Yorkshire

Accountable to the lead Deputy Postgraduate Dean via the Head of School of Medicine. You will play an important part in the direction of training programmes across NHS England and the Yorkshire Deanery.

Specific roles and responsibilities will be discussed at interview

Main duties of the job

Supporting trainees' physical, emotional and mental well-being, essential involvement with recruitment, quality control and assessment of trainees, as well as delivering a training programme that delivers in accordance with the Rheumatology Curriculum is required.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced NHS Consultant or Associate Specialist with a thorough understanding of Rheumatology Training across the region. They will also have strong leadership and communication skills and be able to work effectively as a member of a multi-professional team.
