Job summary

We are currently recruiting for a Foundation Training Lead, to work as part of our innovative School of Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation to support the implementation of the new initial education and training standards for pharmacists.

Interviews will take place online on the 22nd or 23rd of January.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a pharmacy professional to work with our internal and external stakeholders (employers, training providers, trainees and supervisors) to support the implementation of the new initial education and training standards for pharmacists. The successful candidate will support the infrastructure to develop quality assured programmes to ensure a consistent approach for trainee pharmacists across sectors. The role will enable the successful candidate to work at both a regional and national level, as part of the School team, and with other NHSE professional leads to foundation pharmacist training, through both new and well-established workstreams within the workforce transformation agenda in the North West.

The successful candidate will be accountable to the Head of School for Foundation Pharmacist Training and is responsible for providing professional leadership, together with expertise, advice and support.
