Job summary
The Deputy Head of School is responsible for assisting the Head of School in managing the Emergency Medicine Training programme across NHS England's (NHS E) London Local Office.
The Deputy Head of School for Emergency Medicine Training programmes will ensure that both national standards, determined by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and also guidelines and standards established within London are met.
The Deputy Head of School will be expected to assist the Head of School in implementing national and NHS E policies in relation to the education and training of junior doctors within Emergency Medicine on whole workforce transformation and developing multi-professional links.
Main duties of the job
They will work with the London Head of School and the HET team to produce doctors who will strive for the highest standards of patient-centred care and commit themselves to a lifetime of professional development.

The Healthcare Education Team in the NHS E London and South East is responsible for planning the delivery and ensuring the quality of postgraduate medical and dental education and training across London and the South East. - Membership / Fellowship of College /Faculty, professional association and/or body
- Attendance at courses aimed to support educational development

- Educational qualification such as PG Cert diploma or Master of Medical Education

- Considerable experience or working with learners or doctors in training in educational context
- Experience of clinical and educational leadership and innovation, including managing a multi professional team
