Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts
Receivable Manager within NHS Resolution. The post holder will be accountable
to the Deputy Head of Financial Accounting.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Managing the Accounts Receivable team
- Managing the NHS Resolution bank accounts, ensuring that all daily cash receipts are accounted for and cash balances are managed to avoid overdrawn balances
- Run an efficient and effective credit control function
- Take the lead for the accounts receivable function on the Agreement of Balances (AOB) intercompany process with other functions across the wider NHS

Essential
- CCAB qualified accountant or equivalent relevant experience in a financial accountancy environment
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skill (Outlook/Word/Excel etc) and financial software packages
- Numerate with good analytical skills
- Capable of analysing complex and often sensitive and controversial financial information to tight deadlines
- Ability to work through complex data to resolve queries with diplomacy and tact
- Numerate with good analytical skills
Experience
Essential
- Experience in relevant finance experience, primarily within credit control and reconciliations, demonstrating specialist knowledge
- Experience and expertise in a range of accounting areas (e.g. reconciliation and balances, VAT, finance computer systems and ledgers)
- Experience of analysing complex financial data and investigating and resolving errors
- Experience of dealing with internal and external auditors queries in relation to payments
