We are recruiting for a KIM Information Manager to join the Knowledge and Information Management Team in the Corporate and Information Governance deputy directorate on a permanent basis.

This exciting role will be responsible for managing the information structure within NHS Resolution (NHSR) by providing advice, support and training where necessary. The post holder will be managing the different information management frameworks and procedures, updating them as required. This is so that staff can retain and locate what they need, and for NHSR to meet our obligations as a public organisation.

In addition to having knowledge and experience of information management and strong analytical skills, the KIM Information Manager will also demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Good analytical and decision making skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Main duties of the job

The KIM Information Manager is responsible for leading on managing and consolidating the information stores mostly within the implementation of O365 and the information mapping process. Helping NHSR understand how to best use O365 to better utilise its investment and organise its information within them, through maintaining and developing the correct processes.

The role is responsible for enabling good information management showing best practise. Through designing SharePoint sites and their permissions, Information Mapping, producing information management reports and conducting the annual TNA information management report, the KIM representative at Information Security Group, keeping abreast of legislative changes which may impact the organisation, and amending information management practices. This will be done through following the right processes, information risk analysis, compliance awareness, training requirements, information management advice and any others as appropriate.

The post holder is responsible for deriving maximum value for the business from information management, collaborating and encouraging information sharing and communicating effectively across NHSR and with other stakeholders.

The KIM Information Manager is responsible for the line management of two Records Officers, ensuring that all elements of the records and information management function are followed.
