Job summary
The Communications and Engagement Executive
is part of the Policy, Strategy and Communications (PSC) Directorate and is responsible for supporting the
overall work of the Advice and Appeals business partnering team, the
organisations stakeholder and scheme member insights programme, contact
datasets and developing the Customer Relationship Management system. The role is
also key in helping to co-ordinate the organisations services in relation to
primary care audiences and plays a key role in the administration of speaker
events and conference exhibitions.
Main duties of the job
Copywriting to support strategic communication campaigns targeting a
range of audience groups across both offline and digital media channels (press
releases, publications, website, meeting minutes etc).
Providing advice to staff and partners on appropriate communication and
engagement approaches and delivery options.
Building effective relationships with
colleagues at all levels through open
communication and constructive feedback.
Assisting in the development and promotion
of clear understanding of strategic aims
and priorities, ensuring consistency of
messages and terminology.
Working closely with others in the PSC team to implement and promote the
NHS Resolutions corporate identity style internally and externally.
Assisting with
the planning, co-ordination, development and delivery of effective engagement
activities and events with clear objectives and evaluation methods, which
support delivery of the PSC annual work plan.
Assisting in the
production and maintenance of a broad range of communications and engagement
channels and products including high quality promotional materials, digital
products such as videos and social media content, presentations; using customer
insight to identify the right channels and styles for specific audiences.
Assisting with
the co-ordination of NHS Resolutions presence at designated national events by
acting as a point of contact with organisers and partners.

Care Appeals: offering an impartial tribunal service for the fair handling of
Primary Care contracting services.
Safety and
Learning: supporting the NHS to better understand and learn from claims,
concerns and disputes; to target safety activity while sharing learning across
the NHS.
