This is a great time to join our Practitioner Performance Advice service as we embark on a number of ambitious programmes designed to support and promote a just and fair culture across the NHS. We do this by providing an independent and expert advisory service for medical, dental and pharmacy practitioners and healthcare organisations. Our education service takes learning from our casework and shares this with the NHS in order to build capacity and capability to deal with concerns.
For this senior role, we are looking for an Education Manager to lead, design and rollout our external education strategy and portfolio, with a real focus on patient safety and public protection.
You will have a
strong record of instigating, designing, developing and managing high-quality
education projects for
expert adult learners and the ability to identify and develop innovative
opportunity to build Advices education offer and maximise commercial
opportunities will accelerate our education services.
You will be a
self-starter and natural entrepreneur, full of ideas and with the tenacity to
undertake new product development, be able to establish credibility quickly,
with an ability to communicate with subject matter experts as well as delegates
and learners and lead a high-performing team.
Main duties of the job
As Education Manager, you will have responsibility
for leading the development and delivery of the Advice education strategy and
portfolio, including:
Drive the
development of new training workshops and programmes to delegates, working with
sector experts to design, develop, trial, pilot and launch new products
Review and maintain
our existing Advice education programme and materials to keep it up-to-date
with evolving policy, good practice and approach to expert learning
Identify and
engage with NHS and stakeholders across healthcare education to ensure Advice
is recognised as an expert provider for practitioner performance advice
Gather and
report on feedback on our educational portfolio; evaluate their current
effectiveness and guide future improvements while ensuring they generate income
Provide advice
and guidance to NHS organisations about their learning and training needs in
the area of managing performance concerns
Manage the
education team (including associate advisers) to deliver high-quality education
events.
