The opportunity
- The Procurement Team acts as the interface between NHS Resolution and our external commercial partners. We ensure that the organisation obtains good quality and value from our commercial partners and maintain compliance with all internal and external regulations.
Join the Procurement Team as we continue with a programme of transformation and growth. The holder of this post will be able to inform the future of Procurement within NHS Resolution.
The post holder will require some procurement experience, ideally within a public sector setting, obtaining quotes, and running simple competitive tenders. The ability to work with technical stakeholders and collaborating on projects is key to success in this role.

- The post holder is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of contract and procurement processes across NHS Resolution.
The post holder provides expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on contract and procurement matters and works with key personnel to ensure full compliance with contract and procurement regulations.
What you'll be doing

Procurement and Contract compliance support by providing expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement and contracting, ensuring alignment with public procurement regulations and government standards.

Procurement planning and tender management including development procurement plans, assess risks, prepare tender documents, manage tender processes, and maintain contract databases to support wider business goals.

Creating and delivering training sessions and presentations on procurement practices, and communicate procurement regulations and procedures effectively across the organization

Monitor contract performance, conduct performance reviews, analyze business cases, and prepare reports for governance bodies such as DHSC and the Cabinet Office.

Assist on the design and implement contract and procurement policies, procedures, and systems (e.g., P2P processes) to reduce off-contract spending and ensure governance compliance.

Build strong working relationships with internal departments, suppliers, and external stakeholders (e.g., Crown Commercial Services), handling negotiations and resolving disputes tactfully.
What you'll bring
- Provide expert procurement advise, offering guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement and contracting matters in line with public sector regulations.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance by delivering on and assisting with procurement activities in compliance with public procurement regulations, internal governance, and value-for-money principles.
- Develop and implement procurement and contract policies. Create and maintain contract and procurement policies, including a robust P2P (procure-to-pay) process to reduce off-contract spend.
- Manage and monitor contracts by preparing, maintaining, and evaluating contracts and tenders, ensuring performance against financial and service targets.
- Training and stakeholder engagement, building collaborative relationships, deliver procurement and contracts staff training, and communicate procurement and contract management best practices across the organisation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data analysis and create summaries.
