Job summary

NHS Resolution is a not-for-profit part of the NHS working for health care providers to resolve claims fairly and to share learning across the NHS and beyond. We provide a supportive environment for our staff with specialist training and the opportunity for personal development.

We are recruiting for 2 Business Analysts to contribute to an ambitious programme of transformation at NHS Resolution. You will support the delivery of a new cloud-based platform for multiple departments within a critical organisation. Ideally you will have worked in the NHS or a similar environment and have experience on a similar programme of change or technology implementation.

Main duties of the job

What you'll be doing:

Identifying and capturing requirements

Communicating complex processes to various stakeholders

Managing and resolving conflicting information to achieve a consensus

Interpreting user requirements into user stories

Producing scripts for User Acceptance Testing

Supporting the capture of 'As Is' and 'To Be' business process maps

What were looking for:

BA certification i.e., BCS, IIBA and/or equivalent experience

Extensive experience of managing workshops and other requirements gathering activities

Extensive experience of articulating business and IT needs and relaying them to various project audiences to ensure a complete understanding of a deliverable, its capability and limitations

Ability to work autonomously, including the ability to balance, organise and prioritise own workload.

PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent is desirable

Good understanding of a range of project and business improvement methodologies and tools. E.g., waterfall, agile, scrum, MSP, Lean Six Sigma, Kanban, etc. Desirable

NHS/Health Authority and/or Insurance industry experience is desirable but not essential

NHS Resolution is an Arms Length Body of the Department of Health & Social Care. As a not for profit part of the NHS, our purpose is to provide expertise to the NHS to resolve concerns fairly, share learning for improvement and preserve resources for patients. We have four key service areas:

Claims Management: delivering expertise in handling clinical and non-clinical claims to members of our Indemnity Schemes.

Practitioner Performance Advice: providing advice, support and interventions in relation to concerns about the individual performance of Doctors, Dentists and Pharmacists.

Primary Care Appeals: offering an impartial tribunal service for the fair handling of Primary Care contracting services.

Safety and Learning: supporting the NHS to better understand and learn from claims, concerns and disputes; to target safety activity while sharing learning across the NHS.
