Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Information Access professional with a sound understanding of information law including Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations and Data Protection legislation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the Information Access Manager to deliver steer the information access function.
he postholder will work alongside information access colleagues to facilitate appropriate information handling practices and to ensure the necessary frameworks are in place. The role is therefore perfectly suited to an individual with attention to detail, a strong problem-solver, and great communicator.
Main duties of the job
The role involves the handling of a variety of information requests. This will involve managing a complex caseload, initial analysis of the information held by NHS Resolution and the drafting and sending of appropriate responses to applicants. This role requires sensitivity and tact when dealing with individuals who may be dissatisfied with the outcome of their request.
The post holder will also be required to analyse and report on information access requests monthly, providing summary details as and when required. The post holder will also support the Information Access Manager with the formulation of policies, procedures, guidance and training materials and will assist with the delivery of training where necessary. The postholder is also required to provide advice on information law as required.
The post holder will be required to maintain their knowledge of information law keeping abreast of legislative developments, case law and national guidance.
