Job summary
The post holder will form a key part of the AGH Solutions Management Team and will play a key role in the operational working of the organisation.
They will need to develop strong working relationships with staff at all levels within and outside the organisation including departmental managers, external suppliers, and AGH directors.
The post holder will have line management responsibility for all departmental budgets, staff, recruitment, and day to day running of the teams.
The Facilities Manager will manage the transport/laundry department but as part of their duties may involve the managing of other facility areas within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide guidance, support and advice to staff at all levels within and outside the organisation. This provision of support will involve dealing with complex, emotive & contentious issues. It will involve the requirement to constrain departments to ensure financial targets are met. The support will include advising managers & directors on how to make the most effective use of departmental resources and staff to bring about increased efficiency and service improvement.
The post holder will be support in developing commercial awareness through the organisation and will understand the linkages between there departments & other performance targets. The Facilities Manager , will provide high quality & professional advice that is relevant to AGH Solutions departments, as well as supporting the Trust in providing information for other areas as required. In addition, they will be responsible for co-ordinating specific projects where required.
