Domestic Services Coordinator

Job summary

We are looking for an organized and motivated Domestic Services Co-Ordinator (Band 4) to join our team at Harrogate Integrated Facilities. This is a key management role, providing leadership and support to the Domestic team to ensure the Trust maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control. The role is central to creating a safe, hygienic, and well managed environment for patients, staff, and visitors, while ensuring compliance with national cleaning guidelines.

While this role is generally Monday to Friday, a level of flexibility will be required to meet with staff working evenings, night and weekend shifts.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the Domestic team, managing staffing levels, rotas, and day-to-day operations to ensure a high quality cleaning service across the Trust. Key duties include allocating staff effectively to meet service demands, overseeing the induction and training of new team members, and maintaining ongoing training and competency levels to the required standards. The role also involves supporting recruitment processes, monitoring service delivery through regular inspections, liaising closely with Auditing officer, ward managers and clinical teams, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements. Additionally, the post holder will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance the quality and efficiency of domestic services.
