Job summary

The Director of Strategic Projects and Programmes will lead the planning, developing and delivering of multi-disciplinary consultancy services while ensuring a common understanding of RFL Property Services' short-term and long-term consultancy strategy to deliver sustainable organisational growth and user experience in complex, challenging and demanding environments.

With high emotional intelligence and commercial acumen, the post holder will work closely with the Managing Director and be responsible for the development of commercially sound business plans and initiatives that are optimised for both short-term and long-term organisational growth and business successes.

The post holder will play a key role in identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships that will go beyond the healthcare settings and optimise client engagement and satisfaction to drive continuous and sustainable business growth, market expansion and long-term income generation and profitability.

Main duties of the job

Driving the business in line with its strategic plan and business growth objectives, maintaining high quality of service and customers care; construct and maintain strong team capability and competence, aligned to commissions, high quality standards, new business opportunities, and effective communications with shareholders plus existing and potential customers.

Develop and execute commercially focused client centric consultancy services, and deliver strategies, goals and objectives for capital projects and transformation programmes aligned to RFLPS organisational

Create and manage all new business development opportunities; put in place new initiatives to take advantage of market opportunities, reduce operational threats, forestall business risks, maximise core strengths and optimises cross selling all aspects of RFLPS service offerings to the benefit of the customer.

Build and maintain strong and confident strategic partnerships with RFL group health units, existing and new clients to further advance the mission of RFLPS and the new market expansion.

Oversee the development and delivery of efficient and effective strategic provision of comprehensive and client centric project and property services to RFL Group and all external clients that meet the aspirational and strategic objectives in efficient use of land and buildings.

Provide strategic and visible leadership, effective management of the full consultancy services.

Education & Professional Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Business Management, Project Management or related field).
  • Appropriate postgraduate qualification at Master's Level (Master's degree or MBA), or equivalent experience.
  • Chartered professional registration/accreditation in relevant discipline (APM, PMI or CMI etc).
  • Membership of relevant professional association (APM, PMI or CMI etc).

Desirable

  • Evidence of CPD and leadership development at advanced and very senior manager level.

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience working at a Senior Director level within a multi-disciplinary Consultancy Services in a medium size organisation within public, education or healthcare setting.
  • Experience in building, developing and leading a multi-disciplinary team to successfully deliver organisational growth goals and market expansion.
  • Proven experience in successfully establishing, developing and implementing optimal, multi-disciplinary and commercially focused consultancy service strategies and business plans that support an organisation's long-term growth strategy.
  • Significant years of experience in managing and delivering complex, commercially focused and technically demanding consultancy services within a fast paced, financially constrained and client facing environment.
  • Experience of effective partnership working with external organisations, government bodies at a very senior level, preferably a mixed of public and private sector.
  • Experience in change, financial and multimillion budgets management.
