Insight Executive Group is delighted to partner with RFL Property Services (RFLPS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Royal Free London Group, to source an exceptional Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities at the Royal Free London Hospital.
RFLPS is leading the way in delivering transformational change in NHS estates services. As the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities, you will be the single point of contact for ensuring the operational excellence of estates, facilities, property, and capital support services at the Royal Free London Hospital. This pivotal role is crucial for maintaining a safe and compliant environment, enabling the Trust's staff to deliver world-class patient care. You will lead day-to-day operations, driving service improvements aligned with the Trust's corporate vision, and fostering a cultural shift that enhances patient experience.
To apply for this role, you must have significant and relevant experience in estates or facilities operational management at a senior level in both the public and private sectors. You must also demonstrate the ability to discuss estates and environmental issues with all levels of management.
Main duties of the job

- Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the patient environment meet the requirements of the Trust, delivering positive patient experience outcomes.
- To develop and deliver site specific strategies in accordance with statutory and mandatory drivers and in line with the Royal Free London Hospital Wider Estates & Facilities strategy.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency in the delivery of estates and facilities management services, contributing to the Trust's financial efficiency and quality improvement programmes.
- Provide operational leadership for the Hard & Soft FM service level agreement at the Royal Free London Hospital, ensuring continuous improvement and excellent staff engagement.
- Must be able to undertake frequent intense concentration to analyse financial and qualitative positions.
- Ensure clear, accurate communication with contractors and stakeholders to achieve the best possible business outcomes.
