Gloucestershire Managed Services (GMS) is looking for a proactive Maintenance Operative to join our busy Operational Estates team. Based at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, you will play a key rolein keeping things running smoothly by carrying out both building/grounds planned preventative maintenance activities and reactive maintenance activities across the Hospital's Estate.

You'll be part of a busy and varied Estates service, where each day brings something new. We're continuing to develop and improve how we work, and we value people who bring fresh ideas, a strong work ethic, and a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Main duties of the job

We're looking for someone with great organisational skills, a hands-on approach and the ability to keep things moving in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:

- Carrying out Building (Mechanical or Carpentry or Plumbing bias) and Grounds Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities.

- Carrying out Building (Mechanical or Carpentry or Plumbing Bias) and Grounds Reactive Maintenance Activities.

- Keeping plant rooms, stores and work shop clean, tidy, safe, and well organised.

- Regularly lifting and moving items (frequently up to 25kg).
