Job summary

Gloucestershire Managed Services now has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer Support Staff to join the team at Cheltenham General Hospital.

The Medical Engineering Department at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust consists of a mixed workforce of 37 members of staff with varying backgrounds and abilities

There are workshops located on two sites, Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital.

This Engineer Support Staff will be located chiefly at Cheltenham General Hospital but may occasionally provide cover for Gloucestershire Royal Medical Engineering

There is a free bus provided between the Gloucester and Cheltenham sites and there are GMS provided lease cars available for other off site work

Main duties of the job

To provide front of house reception duties

To provide comprehensive administration support to the GMS Medical Engineering Department

To ensure invoicing and orders are generated, authorized, checked, recorded and receipted covering revenue expenditure of current budget lines

To communicate with external agencies and suppliers nationwide.

To manage the CGH endoscope deliveries and returns

To manage the CGH decontamination of service for dynamic air bed mattress deliveries and returns
